Over the last two months we have received many calls from students who had just taken – and Failed – their New Jersey Cosmetology Exam.

And each student said almost the same thing:

I was doing so well on the tests at my school, but I could not even understand half the questions on the new PSI Exam, so I failed it“!

I didn’t even know what they were asking me. I don’t know if I knew the answer, because I couldn’t understand the question”.

Yesterday we were contacted by an Instructor at a NJ cosmetology school who said that:

she had been teaching for over 25 years and always had a very high pass rate, but since PSI began giving the exam, her pass rate has fallen – and out of her last 16 students, only 2 passed their exam“!

That is a12% Pass Rate,

or to put it even more harshly,

it is an 88% Failure Rate.

The instructor was so upset, she was almost in tears.

Ask yourself:
1) Did the instructor suddenly forgot everything she knew?
2) Or, did PSI just make up a crazy new exam?

If you guessed # 2, you are right.

The instructor finally contacted PSI and asked how their exams were created; and to make a very long conversation with many questions short, here is what they told her:

Their PSI exams are written by their staff members and these staff members ARE NOT licensed instructors, cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, or nail technicians.

The question she asked them, and then asked us is this:

how can you justify having people with no knowledge of this industry writing the exam questions for this industry“?

They could not answer her and neither could we.

What we do know from years of experience is that the PSI questions are difficult and “strange“!

BUT ALL IS NOT LOST,
WE HAVE BEEN COLLECTING THE PSI QUESTIONS FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALMOST ALL OF THEM, AND THEIR ANSWERS, IN OUR BOOKS and ONLINE EXAMS.

This is why, even on the PSI Exams,  our Pass Rate is over 98.5% !!!
