This is an easy topic and you can guarantee it will be on your State Board Exam.

1) pH stands for – potential Hydrogen.
2) pH measures – the alkalinity and acidity of a substance.
3) pH represents – the quantity / amount of hydrogen ions in a water-based solution.
4) It is a Logarithmic Scale.
5) It ranges from 0 – 14.
6) 7 = neutral.
7) 0 – 6.9 = acid.
8) 7.1 – 14 = alkaline / base.
9) The pH Scale moves in intervals of 10.
10) A pH of 9 is 100 times more alkaline than a pH of 7 (this is the current favorite pH question on the SBE).
